The holotype of Mchenga cyclicos, Penn State
University 2624.1, an adult male 115.6 mm SL from Kanchedza Island;
enlarged from Fig. 6 (illustration by M. Katz) of
Stauffer et al. (1993).
This species was transferred from Copadichromis and
designated as the type of their new genus Mchenga by
Stauffer & Konings (2006).
