Near the top of the image, the southeast arm of
Lake Malawi is to the right, extending out of the frame; to the left
of it, connected by the short northern segment of the Upper Shire River,
is Lake Malombe. Farther left, Lake Chilwa looks like a much larger
version of Lake Malombe; below and to its right is triangular
Lake Chiuta, and Lake Amaramba is the long, narrow feature
(almost a wide river in appearance) to the right of and below L. Chiuta.
