This fish, from Nkhata Bay, Malawi, is identified by Ad Konings as Cynotilapia axelrodi. According to Konings, this species occurs from Mundola Point (south of Nkhata Bay) north to Lion's Cove. Photo by Konings, reproduced with his kind permission from Konings (1995c).
