The holotype of Petrotilapia chrysos (Penn State University 2726, an adult male 116.9 mm SL from Chinyamwezi Island); illustrator not stated. This is the species called Petrotilapia "gold" by Ribbink et al., 1983. Drawing from Stauffer & van Snik (1996).
