Stigmatochromis pholidophorus(?), trawled August 5, 1971 off Chembe, Cape Maclear, Malawi in 18-29 m by D.H. Eccles, K. Stride, J. Tarbit, M.K. Oliver and party. Much larger than the 86 mm SL holotype and only definite specimen, this individual looks much like a mature individual would be expected to look. Photo copyright © by M. K. Oliver.
