A deep-water paedophagous cichlid of the genus Diplotaxodon is described from Lake
Malawi, Africa. Similarity of jaw morphology between this species and shallow-water paedophages
which obtain eggs and larvae by ramming brooding females, suggest [sic] that this deep-water
cichlid obtains food in the same manner.
